Mesa is located southeast of Phoenix, covers an area of 122 square miles, and is the third largest city in Arizona. Our community photo tour presents Mesa’s northeastern section, with the Salt River as the northern border, Elliot the southern border, Price Road the western border and Mesa Drive the eastern border. This area is covered by zip codes 85202, 85210 and 85201. Much of the housing in
this western section of Mesa was developed during the 1970s, so more
shingle roofs are seen than tile. The developments are very similar in
character to those in neighboring areas of Tempe and Chandler. The
area has many community facilities, including parks, golf courses and
community tennis, basketball and racquetball courts. Property management
statistics show this area to have a strong rental home demand because of the
close proximity to ASU, Mesa Community College, The Fiesta Mall, and easy
freeway access to Phoenix and other East Valley cities.
